Avalon Beach has a very special place in heart. Having grown up in the area, my sister and I spent a lot of my childhood in this rock pool. My dad would fish off the rocks whilst mum lay on the beach sun baking! The rock pool has existed since at least 1921 when it literally was a rock pool!
In this piece, I love the colours of the water in the pool, its reflections and depth. The headland stands strong and proud in the background.
