Meet Buddy.
Buddy recruited himself as site manager when my husband started a large project in our backyard.
Particularly interested in the digging part, Buddy sat himself on the wheel barrow and cast a beady eye over the area. He was also quite happy to join him on lunch breaks and stuck around until knock off time when he flew back to the gang in the nearby tree.
The Kookaburra is an iconic Aussie bird, most recognisable for its laughter. It was definitely time for me to paint one to add to my bird series.
